I am 25 years old and I study Environmental studies. I have been active in different fields of public life (a local cultural NGO, Hnutí Duha, ČSOP Veronica, Czech Green Party, Blog about schizophrenia and so on). My dream, after finishing my PhD studies, is to become a university teacher. Or to work in some interesting environmental NGO, ... Life would be great if we would accept the idea of basic income - I would invest all my time in the public sphere (NGOs, volunteering and so on).

Sustainability consists of three parts. The economic, social a ecological pillars. The economic pillar is about the strength and independence of the local economy, the social pillar is about strong social capital in different areas, and the ecological pillar is well-known - biodiversity, no irreversible changes and so on. The idea of sustainable development was accepted at the world conference in Rio de Janeiro. Today's competitive ideas for SD are the idea of transition towns and the idea of degrowth.
