I currently work at COAST, the Centre for Environment and Sustainability Research, at the University of Oldenburg, north-western Germany. Since summer 2012 I am writing my PhD thesis dealing with stakeholder participation in integrative planning and assessment for sustainable land use management in coastal regions. I am involved in the research project COMTESS (Sustainable Coastal Land use Management: Trade-offs in Ecosystem services), which aims for developing, evaluating and implementing opportunities for sustainable land use in times of accelerated climate.

I finished my studies in Biology (University of Münster), Water and Coastal Management (University of Oldenburg) and Environmental Infrastructure Planning (University of Groningen). My interests are in ecosystem services, climate adaptation, participatory and governance processes and sustainability.

In 2014 I participated for the second time as an expert for climate adaptation in coastal regions in the EVS.
